Repair options

2022

In February 2022 some water lines on Little Dipper Road froze because a re-circulation pump was not activated for the winter season. A new pump and a significantly improved control system was installed.

It is expected the re-circulation pump will remain in operation for the long term.

In the summer of 2022, water mains in the Little Dipper cul-de-sac were located for depth. A plan was developed for future excavation and insulation of water mains most at risk. Grant funding is considered necessary to pursue this activity.

2021

Acting on the advice of counsel and water system operators, the Board adopted a resolution declaring a Water Supply Emergency within the Bellyache Ridge Metropolitan District effective October 13, 2021.

In April 2021 the Metro District Board reviewed and began using a Reserve Study for Major Repairs and Replacements Expenditures as a key tool for planning future funding needs.

The exterior of both pump houses were cleaned and stained.

2020

The cedar shake roof on the pump house for wells 1R & 2 was replaced with a standing seam metal roof.

In August 2020 aging galvanized steel plumbing at well 3 was replaced with a modern pipe solution and a drain was added.

In July 2020 the main power supply to pump house 1&2 failed and was replaced.

Periodic water tank inspection reports were completed.
